HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Ocean Springs @ Northwest Rankin (5/8/2024) [7A Playoffs, South State]
SUMMARY: This week is the South State titles for High School baseball and softball. The first game began with Ocean Springs facing Northwest Frank. The Lady Cougars initially took the lead but were denied by the lady Greyhounds. Despite loading the bases, Ocean Springs couldn't score. Northwest Frank's Brook Smith hit a two-run shot, extending their lead to six. They ultimately defeated Ocean Springs 11-2 in game one. The games are taking place outside of Jackson, with intense competition for both teams fighting for the title. The series will determine the South State champions in both baseball and softball.
