Jackson mayor declares State of Emergency due to storm damage

The storm brought heavy rain and strong winds, leading to power outages and a boil-water alert for surface water customers. The O.B. Curtis Water Treatment Plant lost power, resulting in low water pressure. The State of Emergency will be reviewed every seven days until the situation improves.
