Gulfport teen charged with second-degree murder for killing another teen over vape pen

SUMMARY: An 18-year-old , Elijah Lamar Eckford, has been charged with second-degree murder the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Zaelyn Braxton over a dispute about a $10 vape pen. After the incident at a Kenwood home, Eckford fled but was later apprehended. Tai'shawn Holloway, 21, who drove Eckford before and after the shooting, faces accessory charges, while another car occupant, Christopher Fletcher, 21, was charged with marijuana possession. All suspects are detained at the Adult Detention Center, and authorities are seeking further information on the case.
