Mississippi receives more than 56,000 absentee ballots ahead of General Election
SUMMARY: Mississippi has reported that over 56,000 absentee ballots have been received for the 2023 General Election. The Statewide Election Management System (SEMS) has stated that a total of 62,156 absentee ballots have been requested, 61,647 have been sent, and 56,403 have been received. Mississippians who have requested an absentee ballot can track their ballot using the My Election Day ballot tracker. All mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by November 7th and received by November 15th. The Resolution Board can start processing absentee ballots at 7 am on Election Day, and county election officials can tabulate ballots at 7 pm on Election Day.
