Mississippi grandmother, grandson duo win over $56,000 on ‘Wheel of Fortune’
One Pascagoula native and her grandson walked away with over $56,000 after successfully guessing the correct phrase during Tuesday night's episode of Wheel of Fortune.
Retta Alexander and Julian Hernandez, who lives in Arizona, traveled to California to compete in the game show, with the two quickly accumulating nearly $17,000 in prize money before the bonus round.
At the end of the competition, Alexander and Hernandez were presented with the final puzzle in the “place” category, with the screen showing the phrase “_ A N C _ / _ _ _ T _ _ _ E.”
