Suspect arrested following active shooter situation at Howard Industries

One is in custody following an active shooter situation at Industries in Laurel.

According to The Laurel Leader-Call, Keith Hinton shot one person Friday morning before issued a BOLO on the suspect's 1986 gray GMC pickup truck. Hinton was later captured in .

Chief Tommy Cox of the Laurel Department told that the gunshot victim, who we now know as 57-year-old Dale Thornton, has been transferred to Forrest General Hospital. No other details on the victim's were provided.
