MSDH confirms 1,278 new COVID-19 cases in weekly report

The Mississippi Department of has confirmed 1,278 new cases in its weekly .

The seven-day brings the state's total number of recorded cases since the onset of the pandemic to 994,313. With 17 additional deaths, 13,419 have passed away as a result of the virus. Additionally, there are currently 55 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is currently averaging 153 cases, a 28% decrease from two weeks ago.

The two teams will meet again in the next game, where Lafayette can clinch a spot in the semifinals with a win while New Hope is in a win or go home situation. The game is set for Saturday at 6 PM at Lafayette.
