Co-owner of Biloxi Shuckers suing team president

Tim Bennett, a co-owner of the Minor League team, is suing the president of the Shuckers organization for non-payment of money owed, citing racial discrimination as the reason.

Bennett owns Overtime , a management company, and he is a co-owner of the Shuckers franchise. Bennett is suing his former business partner and Shuckers president Ken Young.

Gulfport man sentenced to death for murder of two-year old step-son

SUMMARY: Joseph David Heard of , Mississippi, has been convicted of Capital Murder for the of his two-year-old step-son on December 27, 2021. The child died of suffocation by smothering and multiple blunt force injuries. Heard's abuse of the child, forcing him to sit on a potty- seat for hours and popping blisters with a spatula, was revealed during the trial. The child's mother, Hailey Heard, confessed to the murder, stating that Joseph repeatedly punched the child when he took too long to get a juice box. Hailey is serving a sentence, while Joseph has been to death.
