Capitol police arrest man for Trustmark Bank robbery

SUMMARY: A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection to a bank robbery at Trustmark Bank in Jackson. The man handed a note demanding money to a teller, who complied. The suspect, David Barrett, fled the scene in a vehicle towards Flowood. Capitol police recovered the stolen $734.50 and arrested Barrett, charging him with robbery. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Medgar Evers to receive Presidential Medal of Freedom
