‘$10 for a vape pen’: Police say argument lead to death of 16-year-old
SUMMARY: 16-year-old Zaelyn Braxton was shot and killed in Gulfport early Monday morning. 18-year-old Elijah Lamar Eckford has been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder. Police were called to a home on Kenwood Drive and found Braxton dead in the doorway from apparent gunshot wounds. The investigation revealed that Eckford and Braxton got into an argument over a $10 vape pen, which led to the shots fired. Two other people have also been arrested with accessory after the fact charges, as well as possession.

Police said the shooting followed after an argument over $10 for a vape pen. One other person, Tai'shawn Holloway, was arrested for accessory after the fact.
