Severe thunderstorms are possible late Friday afternoon into the overnight hours in some parts of Mississippi. Sustained wind speeds of 20 to 30 mph are expected, especially through the Delta region where wind gusts over 40 mph are possible.

Northern Mississippi–

Breezy with showers and thunderstorms possible thought tonight, some of the evening thunderstorms could be severe. Highs will be in the upper 70s, with lows tonight in the upper 50s.

Breezy today, with showers and thunderstorms possible through tonight. Some of the evening thunderstorms could be severe. Highs will be in the lower 80s, with lows tonight in the lower 60s.
