Deadly Shooting Suspect Identified

HPD welcomes latest graduating class
SUMMARY: Today, Hattisburg Police Department's Training Academy graduated recruit class 43, the largest in over a decade with a record number of women. This significant class marks the first under Chief Hardy Sims, with 17 highly motivated individuals trained to protect and serve. Among them, Officer Catrice Bolton emphasizes the importance of female representation in law enforcement. During the ceremony, recruits were pinned by Chief Sims, except for Officer Chance Daniels, whose mother Sergeant Chadra Daniels pinned him. The recruits are eager to begin patrolling Hattisburg, their hometown, and are confident in their ability to serve the community. With these new officers, HPD is now close to full staffing.
