Waste Management taking over garbage pickup in Lee County at the end of October

SUMMARY: Starting at the end of this month, Waste Management will be taking over garbage collection in Lee County, and will notification of their new garbage routes soon. Service will begin on October 30th, and residents can expect to receive letters showing their route a prior to their pickup. Additionally, the county and Waste Management are in discussions for the company to purchase the County's carts. This was made by the Lee County Board members in July, switching from Lee County Solid Waste trash pickup trucks to Waste Management Incorporated.

Waste Management will take over garbage pickup in Lee County by the end of October.

Pearl River Valley working to restore power near Bassfield
