Two shootings in Columbus under investigation.
SUMMARY: Columbus Police are investigating two recent shootings in the city, with Police Chief Joseph dalry reporting that one occurred at a Sprint gas station and another at a Lowe's parking lot. In the first incident, two vehicles pulled up to the gas station and individuals from each vehicle exchanged words before shots were fired into the air. In the second incident, a vehicle traveling westbound was shot at, resulting in an individual in the vehicle getting a scratch on his face. Chief dalry is implementing changes to combat gun violence, including hiring more officers and increasing police presence. No arrests have been made yet, and the police are waiting for surveillance video to gain more details. Chris will continue to provide updates on the story.
SUMMARY: Hattisburg police are warning the public about a scam where a caller poses as an officer claiming the recipient has an active warrant and asking for payment over the phone. The police emphasize that law enforcement will not request money over the phone. If you receive such a call, HPD advises hanging up to avoid falling victim to the scam.

SUMMARY: Around 600 students graduated from Jones College during the 96th spring commencement.
