Two injured in separate weekend hunting-related incidents in Jones Co.

SUMMARY: More than 20 shots were fired in two hunting-related incidents in Jones County. The incidents are under investigation, with one happening on Saturday and the other on Sunday. An 11-year-old boy was shot by his 12-year-old sister while hunting rabbits. The injured 19-year-old stepbrother was with them at the time and was taken to Forrest General Hospital and then transferred to UMMC in Jackson, where he is fighting for his life. In a separate incident, another man was also accidentally hit in the head by a handgun while getting a rifle out.

Two separate hunting-related shooting incidents are under investigation in Jones County.

Fallen tree injures one during storm in Lawrence County
