Tupelo Middle School students now have a space to help students with differing ability levels
SUMMARY: Tupelo Middle School students in Cassie Soup's classroom now have a Snoozin Spot, funded by an AE grant. The spot includes LED floor panels, gel floor tiles, rainfall panels, and other sensory items to stimulate the five senses and foster communication. It aims to help students with differing ability levels in their academic and functional growth. The school hopes this new addition will provide a fun and relaxing space for students to explore and relax. The Snoozin Spot is designed to be enjoyable and beneficial for all students, promoting a positive learning environment for everyone involved.
Tupelo Middle School students now have a “snoezelen” spot which roughly translates from Dutch means “to explore and relax.” The space will help students with differing ability levels.
SUMMARY: Merit Health Wesley has a new CEO, Travis Sisen, who is familiar with the hospital and the Pine Belt region. He is focused on tackling challenges in the healthcare industry and recruiting medical professionals from nearby colleges. SUMMARY: The weather is beautiful with temperatures in the 80s across the region. Severe weather is happening in West Texas with tornadoes reported, but it won't impact the area. Temperatures will fall to the 70s in the evening with no expected problems. Clouds will increase throughout the day tomorrow with a chance of pop-up showers in the evening. Rain chances will increase on Friday but the weekend should mostly stay dry with a small chance of showers. Humidity will increase over the weekend and temperatures will rise into the 90s next week. SUMMARY: Two new art exhibits are now open at Hattisburg Sanger theater. The first exhibit features a collection of painted violins called “First and Second” inside the theater, with two dozen instruments showcasing the work of different artists with a roaring 20s theme. The exhibit serves as a prelude to this year's Festival South. The second exhibit, “Say Cheese”, at the pocket Museum, focuses on photography with photographs from around the world and classic cameras on display. Both exhibits will be open through the end of the month, offering a variety of artistic inspiration for visitors to enjoy.
