High winds knocked down trees and power lines in Columbus

SUMMARY: Parts of Lou County were hit hard by strong winds and thunderstorms, causing damage and knocking out power for around 2500 people in Columbus. Multiple trees were down, some on houses, and emergency personnel were working to restore power and keep people safe. A family's house was struck by lightning, causing extensive damage.
