Tropical Update 10/24/23
SUMMARY: Meteorologist Patrick Bigby highlights Hurricane Tammy located 565 miles away from Bermuda. The Category 1 hurricane moves northeast at 8 miles per hour and is expected to remain a hurricane for several days. It will eventually curve westward, weaken, and lose its tropical characteristics before reaching Bermuda. However, gusty winds and heavy rain are anticipated over the weekend. Bigby also mentions Tropical Depression 21, which dissipated after moving inland to Nicaragua but still caused heavy rainfall across the nation. As we approach November, hurricane activity is expected to decrease.
