SUMMARY: Currently, there are two systems being monitored in the Atlantic. The first, named Philippe, is a tropical storm with winds at 50 miles per hour. It is expected to weaken into a depression as it moves towards the British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico over the weekend. However, it poses no threat to South Mississippi. The second system, an invest, is located a few hundred miles behind Philippe and has a 90% chance of developing. This system is expected to move north and then curve out into the open waters of the Atlantic, also not posing a threat.
