Suspect killed in officer-involved shooting on north MS highway
SUMMARY: A suspect and a K-9 were killed in an officer-involved shooting on Highway 61 near the Desoto County/Tunica County line. The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jamarcus Brown, was a father of three. The incident occurred during a vehicle pursuit when deputies initiated a PIT maneuver. The suspect fired a shot, striking and killing the K-9, prompting deputies to shoot and kill the suspect. The officers were not seriously injured and the K-9 later died from its injuries. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating and will share their findings with the Attorney General's Office. Brown's family disputes the MBI's account of the events.

Humid next few days with storm potential at times – Home – WCBI TV
SUMMARY: An increase in humidity is expected in Columbus, Mississippi over the next couple of days, with storm chances likely on Wednesday night. JSU welcomes new Women’s Basketball coach
SUMMARY: Margaret Richards has been named the new head coach for the Jackson State Women's Basketball team, marking a new era for the Lady Tigers. Richards previously coached at Alabama A&M for eight years before joining Mercer's staff. Shots fired into Vicksburg homes
