Shower Power helping those in need during freezing weather

SUMMARY: Several non-profits, including “Shower Power,” are providing outdoor shelters instead of sheets and blankets to help those in need ahead of freezing temperatures. Volunteers are giving their time to assist with this effort, with the goal of helping those most in need. The organizers are working with city of Jackson leaders to release a list of shelters opening, in preparation for the cold snap. Their aim is to continue assisting and preparing ahead of the approaching cold weather.

Voters to decide on Lamar County school bond
