Second suspect in death of JSU student denied bond
SUMMARY: The second suspect in the shooting death of Jackson State University (JSU) student Jaylen Burns has appeared in court. Jamison Kelly Jr., from Columbia, Mississippi, was denied bond by a Hinds County Judge. Kelly was arrested last week and is being held at the Hinds County Detention Center. He is charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder. The first suspect, 19-year-old Joshua Brown, also denied bond, was charged with the murder of Burns and illegal possession of a firearm on the university’s property. The shooting occurred during a fight on the campus that Burns tried to stop.
