Rising prices putting strain on senior citizens, Meals on Wheels of Lee County
SUMMARY: Rising food and gas prices are putting pressure on senior citizens, especially those served by Meals on Wheels of Lee County. The organization delivers meals to around 165 residents along 12 routes. With the spike in prices, it is becoming harder for seniors on limited incomes to get by. Donors are helping, but more money, food, and volunteers are needed to ensure that more seniors are served in their time of need. Those interested in donating or volunteering can call 662-2311 1614.
