Leaders say the bridge is nearing completion but are unable to provide a projected opening date due to unforeseen delays caused by rain. Crews still need to grind down uneven spots in the concrete before painting the railing and allowing traffic. Once completed, a portion of South Main Street will close for drainage pipe installation.
