Ocean Springs city leaders accept maps for urban renewal plan
SUMMARY: Ocean Springs leaders are proposing an urban renewal plan that they believe will revitalize the city. The plan, which was designed and developed by the board and approved in a special meeting, highlights empty lots and commercial spaces that they hope to transform. Mayor Kenny Holloway says the plan fits in with their comprehensive plan and could bring positive outcomes for the city. However, the proposal is receiving some pushback from residents. Overall, the city of Ocean Springs is taking a step in a new direction with their urban renewal plan.
