New standard license plate to become available to Mississippi residents next year
Mississippi now has a new standard license plate after officials released this year's winner of the state's tag design contest.
Governor Tate Reeves kicked off a campaign for Mississippians to help redesign the standard license plate in November of 2022. The License Tag Commission, consisting of the Governor, Commissioner of Revenue, State Treasurer, and Attorney General, accepted submissions from November 1 through November 30.

She was initially arrested in February 2022 by Marshall County School District Police, and the case was later investigated by the State Auditor's Office. Walker collected funds from students and staff for items like senior dues, athletic uniforms, and fundraisers, but failed to properly document and deposit these funds.
