Jury to begin deliberations in Beth Ann White retrial
SUMMARY: The state rested its case after calling nearly 20 witnesses in the trial of Beth Ann White, who is charged with four counts of aggravated DUI and DUI for a crash that killed two people and severely injured two little girls. The defense rested without calling any witnesses, and testimony wrapped up with new evidence from a pediatric neurosurgeon describing the girls' horrific injuries. A witness testified that White ran a red light and crashed into the victims' car, and accident reconstruction showed White was driving at a high speed. White's blood alcohol content was found to be three times the legal limit, indicating she had been drinking heavily before the crash.
