Mississippi lawmakers begin discussions for Medicaid expansion
SUMMARY: This morning, Mississippi's House is moving forward with a bill to expand Medicaid benefits to hundreds of thousands of residents. The bill would increase eligibility for the program to include low-income individuals making up to 138% of the federal poverty level ($20,000 annually for a single person). This would extend benefits to approximately 150,000 people. The House has until March 14th to pass the bill, which would be a significant shift in healthcare policy in the state.
The House Medicaid Committee advanced a bill Tuesday. The bill would increase eligibility for Medicaid.

27-year-old man arrested for three killings in Jackson

2 arrested for selling meth near church
SUMMARY: Two people, Christopher Adams and Jessica Davis, were arrested by the ATA County Sheriff's Department for selling meth near a church. Adams is charged with selling meth within 1500 feet of a church and is being held in jail without bond. Davis was charged with possession and is currently out on bond. The arrests occurred after a search warrant was executed at a home on Highway 363 in Manache. Sheriff Mitch Neighbors announced the arrests.
Two people were arrested in Itawamba County for selling meth near a church.

West Point Police seek stolen ATVs
SUMMARY: West Point Police are seeking information on a burglary at Adventure ATV where a red and white Canam 1R side by side was stolen. The incident occurred before midnight, with the burglar wearing all black and escaping west on West Church Hill Road. Police urge anyone with information to contact them to help locate the suspect and the stolen vehicle.
A West Point shop for outdoor vehicles became the scene of a burglary Friday night, and police need your help finding the suspect.
