In the 2A softball playoffs, Pisgah defeats Clarkdale 8-1. Northwest Rankin softball also advances to the state final with an 18-2 win over Ocean Springs. Warren Central takes game one in baseball.

In high school baseball Jackson Prep advances to the 6A MAIS Finals while Brandon picks up a big win over Northwest Rankin in game one of their 7a South State series. Pisgah is victorious in the 2A South State and other scores from state playoff baseball and softball action on Friday night.

The Choctaws made clutch plays on defense to secure the win, with Camryn Bailey forcing a game-ending ground out. The team's ability to support each other and finish the game strong was praised by their coach. They advance to the regional final with confidence and pride.

The Mississippi College softball team is one win away from the NCAA Division II Super Regionals. The Choctaws held off Tampa for a 6-3 on Friday afternoon
