Millsaps success leads them to another conference title

SUMMARY: Mississippi has some strong women's basketball programs, including MSU, OLE MISS, USM, and Jackson State. Jackson State and Millsaps have been successful in their respective conferences, with Millsaps winning their sixth regular season title in 2012. The team has a strong focus on academics, with a 3.5 team GPA and a goal of reaching the NCAA Division Three tournament. Senior player Helena Rowe wants to see the team go beyond conference titles and make it to March Madness. The team also focuses on recruiting good people and competitors to continue their success.

The Millsaps women's basketball program has had a ton of success over a period of time. You may not know but they have 6 conference titles since 2012. Their latest was clinched on Sunday. The Majors are undefeated at home and will host the SAA tournament this weekend. They hope to take things to the next level and play in March.

SUMMARY: Crestwood Elementary School held a mural painting event, where students, staff, parents, and community members came together to create a colorful mural on the school wall. The event included free food and entertainment for everyone to enjoy while painting. The interactive mural will allow students and teachers to be expressive and creative, with sections for shout-outs, student recognition, and student artwork. Crestwood received a $5,000 grant to beautify their campus and create permanent artwork. West Lauderdale High School also held a similar event, their second annual Market, to showcase student talent and creativity.
