SUMMARY: The Weather Authority reports a rainy Tuesday night across the Gulf Coast, with continued precipitation in Mississippi, southern Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida's panhandle. The whole southeastern U.S. experiences rainfall, making conditions slick, with little temperature variation. Winds from the north-northeast and stronger gusts are expected due to a low-pressure system further south than expected, affecting Mississippi and Florida's panhandle with potential gusts over 40 mph. Rainfall will persist throughout the night, easing drought conditions. The coast is under flood warnings and advisories. The 7-day forecast promises diminishing cloud cover and rain.

Tuesday November 14th, 2023: The National Weather Service has issued a COASTAL FLOOD WARNING for areas along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Another hazard that the National Weather Service feels concerning and hazardous enough is reason enough for a GALE WARNING to be issued for a large coastal area stretching from coastal waters in and around Pascagoula, Mississippi… to Stake Island, Louisiana. This warning not only covers the land, but also is warning 60 nautical miles out into the Gulf Of Mexico.

Storm damage, power outages across the Coast and state

SUMMARY: Strong storms passed through South Mississippi with heavy rain, lightning, and power outages. Debris scattered along Highway 15 in George County and a tree went through a car's windshield in Brandon. In Alabama, a tornado touched down in DeKalb County, damaging at least 30 homes and injuring two people. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported, with officials attributing the lack of deaths to the preparations of first responders and citizens. Storms passed through South Mississippi overnight and Friday morning. While the Coast has cleared, we're getting a look at just some of the damage left behind.
