MDOT highlights employees in honor of Black History Month

SUMMARY: The celebrated Black History Month by honoring two of its employees. Earl Glenn made history as the first African American chief engineer for the department. His leadership contributed to key projects, recovery efforts after severe weather in Rolling Fork and Silver . Carolyn Bell, who recently retired after 36 years in , spent 22 years leading the division at the Department of Transportation. Bell's previous work experience included the Department of Education and State Personnel Board. Both employees were recognized for their historical contributions to the department and their leadership in state government.

Former West Point officer and wife charged with child's death

Amory dentists offering free services on May 10, little more than a year after tornado

Heal and Dental Care on Guy Pickle will free extractions, fillings, and cleanings to those 18 and older on a first , first served basis. must bring a valid ID and list of current medications. The community has shown , especially after last year's recovery, inspiring the clinic to give back. Registration starts at 7:30 am with dentists working until 4:00 pm. This is a way for the clinic to show appreciation for the community and give back to those in need.
