Pop Up Shop coming to Council of Organizations May 4
SUMMARY: Paul Ford from the Gamma Epsilon Sigma chapter of Beta Sigma fraternity is excited to talk about the upcoming popup shop on May 4th at the Council of Organizations. The fraternity's motto is “Culture for Service, Service for Humanity” and they aim to support small businesses in the community. The popup shop will showcase local vendors and provide a learning opportunity for young entrepreneurs. Vendors can still sign up by contacting Paul Ford. The event will also feature speakers from First Mississippi Federal Credit Union. Overall, the fraternity is actively involved in the community and encourages people to support small businesses at the popup shop.
Time is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at building on 45th Avenue and 8th Street.

Jones College holds spring graduation ceremony Friday
SUMMARY: Around 600 students graduated from Jones College during the 96th spring commencement. Students expressed pride and gratitude for their experiences at Jones, highlighting the supportive community and caring faculty. President Dr. Jesse Smith celebrated the college's accomplishments, including a national soccer championship. Students spoke about how the college has helped them grow and learn important lessons. The graduation ceremony also included the second class of the middle college partnership between Jones and Laurel High School. Stan Buckley, founder of a nonprofit Ministry, gave the commencement address, showing support for student Joshua Brown, who was wrongfully accused of murder.

Hattiesburg VFW post celebrating 90th birthday
