Mass shootings claim lives at gatherings over the July Fourth holiday
SUMMARY: Several mass shootings occurred during Fourth of July celebrations in cities across the US, leaving more than a dozen dead and almost 60 wounded. In Shreveport, Louisiana, three people were killed and 10 others wounded at a block party. In Washington, D.C., nine people were shot and wounded. A 7-year-old boy was killed in Florida after an argument over Jet Skis. In Philadelphia, five people were killed and two boys injured. Three people were killed and eight injured in Texas. Thirty people were shot, two fatally, at a block party in Baltimore. No arrests have been made in any of the cases.

CPD urges people to come forward with info on stabbing case

Ole Miss basketball player accused of firing shots during car repo
SUMMARY: Ole Miss basketball player Jamarion Demontrez Sharp was arrested for firing shots during a car repossession incident in Oxford, Mississippi. Yazoo City police investigate apparent murder-suicide
SUMMARY: Yazoo City police are investigating a murder-suicide after finding Serrelle Bassett deceased with multiple gunshot wounds and Ravonte Fowler deceased from a single gunshot wound in a residence.
