Man arrested and charged after shooting into Dixie Electric building
SUMMARY: A shooting in Waynesboro over the weekend damaged the Dixie Electric building. The suspect, 43-year-old Richard Ross, is in custody and is charged with shooting into a dwelling, simple assault on police officers, and pointing a weapon at officers. The police department showed restraint by not shooting the suspect, but releasing a K-9 to take him into custody. The investigation into the incident continues, and more details can be found on the situation so far at the Wayne County Adult Detention Center. No one was injured during the shooting incident.
Waynesboro police said shots were fired into the Dixie Electric building just before 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Hattiesburg man killed by airplane three years ago remembered

Double amputee graduates from JSU
