Electric-autonomous shuttle buses coming to Mississippi State this fall

SUMMARY: Mississippi (MSU) is launching an electric-autonomous shuttle service with Beep, Inc. this fall, a first in Mississippi and the Southeastern Conference. Two 11-seater shuttles will rides on campus, linking key and promoting alternative transportation. An attendant will always be onboard for safety and assistance. Restricted to roads with a maximum of 25 mph, the pilot aims to enhance campus travel and contribute to rural-urban mobility research. Beep is preparing by mapping routes this spring, and the trial runs from September 1 to November 30. MSU plans to expand research partnerships through this pilot.
