Jackson nonprofit affected by catalytic converter thefts
SUMMARY: Thieves in Jackson, Mississippi have stolen catalytic converters from a nonprofit's bus fleet, leaving the owner frustrated and facing significant financial losses. Albert Wilson, the owner of Genesis and Light Center, stated that the theft not only impacts him financially, but also affects his clients. Catalytic converter theft is a common problem in the Jackson-metro area, and once stolen, it is difficult to track down. Wilson believes that the stolen converters are being sold on the market, and he hopes that finding the location of the sales can help prevent further thefts.
