House fire takes one life in New Albany Tuesday afternoon
SUMMARY: A deadly fire occurred in New Albany this afternoon, resulting in one fatality. The fire, which took place in an older home turned duplex, led to a Mayday call when a partial roof collapsed while firefighters were inside. Fortunately, only one firefighter sustained minor burns and did not require medical treatment. The rest of the family escaped without injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the police, fire department, and State Fire Marshal's Office. The victim's name has not yet been released.
