Hinds County Supervisor David Archie blames fraud for election loss
SUMMARY: Hinds County District 2 Supervisor, David Archie, has accused the Hinds County Democratic Party of fraud in the August 8 primary election. He claims that a requested review of the ballot box revealed inconsistencies and that he was only given paper ballots, with no secondary confirmation measures provided. Cynthia Johnson-Walker, who led the ballot review, states that without additional information, it is impossible to confirm the legitimacy of the votes. Archie has called for the resignation of the Hinds County Democratic Executive Committee Chairperson, Jacqueline Amos, or he will file criminal charges. The party has stated that they will cooperate with Archie's challenge.
