Hinds County detention officer faces nearly 4 years for bringing meth into jail

A former detention officer has been to nearly four years in federal prison for introducing contraband into the county jail.

26-year-old Marcell Anderson of will be spending time on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court documents, on August 18, 2018, Anderson attempted to introduce contraband into the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond.
