Choctaws win first home NCAA Softball Regional

SUMMARY: The Mississippi College Choctaws opened their first NCAA regional on their home field with a 6-1 win against Alabama. Jordan Moore hit a double in the fourth inning to give the Choctaws a 3-1 . Camyrn Bailey pitched well, scattering three hits with one earned and four strikeouts. Ashley Lightcap's hit led to another run for the Choctaws. The team played a complete and appreciated the from fans. Bailey mentioned that the cheering fans motivated them to play harder and give their best on the field. It was a successful start to the regional championship for the Choctaws.

The Mississippi College softball team started the Clinton Regional in the NCAA Division II Tournament with a 6-1 win over West Alabama. The Choctaws are hosting a postseason regional for the first time in program history.
