Gulfport woman charged with felonious child abuse following infant’s death
SUMMARY: A 23-year-old woman from Gulfport, Mississippi, has been arrested and charged with child abuse after drugs were found in her infant's system. Savannah Galle Reynolds was 37 weeks pregnant when she gave birth to a child who later died. Laboratory results confirmed the presence of THC, amphetamines, and fentanyl in the newborn's system. Detectives discovered that Reynolds had taken fentanyl and methamphetamine pills during and before giving birth. Reynolds is currently held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center with a $250,000 bond. Authorities are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
