SUMMARY: Former circuit clerk Jeffrey O'Neal has been to spend five years in prison for fraud. An investigation by the Auditor's Office revealed that O'Neal failed to complete his official tasks and did not remit over $25,000 in fees to the county. He additionally withheld more than $36,000 in restitution payments meant for victims. O'Neal, who had stashed $86,000 in personal bank accounts post-election, was also ordered to pay $94,351.96 in restitution his imprisonment and will undergo five years of post-release supervision.

Gulfport man sentenced to life after killing another man in drunken rage
