Former Democratic chair Tyree Irving sues party, demands reinstatement
SUMMARY: Tyree Irving, the former chair of the Mississippi Democratic Party, is suing the party and claiming that he should still be in charge. He and other plaintiffs have filed a lawsuit in court, asking for a halt to any official party activity until Irving is reinstated. They argue that current party chairman, Cheikh Taylor, was improperly chosen as the leader. Irving had previously announced his resignation but later withdrew it. The lawsuit alleges that Taylor acted without power by appointing a Democratic nominee for secretary of state. The lawsuit demands Irving and other plaintiffs be reinstated immediately.

Mississippi State partners with Ingalls Shipbuilding to create heat safety device
SUMMARY: Mississippi State University and Ingalls Shipbuilding are collaborating to develop CoolMitt devices, wearable technology designed to help shipbuilders avoid heat-related injuries. The innovative devices, created by the University's Athlete Engineering Institute, cool the body by circulating water through a specialized glove. This initiative aims to improve safety and performance for shipbuilders in South Mississippi, where temperatures can exceed 100 degrees during summer. The partnership also offers valuable real-world experience for MSU students. Supported by AccelerateMS through an MS-SHIPS DoD grant, the project has potential benefits beyond shipbuilding, enhancing safety across defense manufacturing.

For instance, Spotify Premium Individual now costs $11.99 per month, while Apple Music remains at $10.99. The Family Plan is now $19.99, exceeding Apple Music's $16.99. Subscribers will receive an email notification about these changes in the coming month.
