Dispensary owner sues state over advertising ban
SUMMARY: Medical cannabis companies in Mississippi are frustrated with strict regulations preventing them from advertising their businesses. With close to 200 dispensaries across the state, businesses like Voodoo Buds and Pearl are struggling to generate revenue due to the advertising ban. Co-owner Bob Hanson of Voodoo Buds relies on word of mouth to grow his business, while another dispensary, True Source, has filed a federal lawsuit claiming their First Amendment rights are being violated. State representative Lee Yancey, however, believes it is not the state's job to help these businesses make money and that the ban on commercial advertising could potentially be loosened in the future.

Another stellar outing by Billy Oldham helps lift Southern Miss past Coastal Carolina
