DII and DIII recap: Delta State falls to West Florida but playoff hopes not dead yet

Mississippi man sentenced to 20 years in prison for threatening postal worker
SUMMARY: Henry Weaver, a 47-year-old man from Sledge, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for threatening a postal worker with a dangerous weapon. The incident occurred in Marks, Mississippi, on April 23, 2022. Weaver was convicted on February 13 and has been ordered to follow his prison term with three years of supervised release. Amid veterinarian shortage in rural areas, Mississippi State to offer new scholarship

MEMA: 1 dead in Wilkinson County after severe weather
SUMMARY: Severe weather in Mississippi on May 12-13 caused one fatality and property damage, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA). Patricia Williamson, 68, from Sicily Island, LA, died when the vehicle she was in hit a tree in Wilkinson County. Another individual was injured in Lawrence County. Damages were reported in Jefferson Davis (5 homes), Lincoln (3 homes), and Smith (1 home, 5 businesses) Counties. With roads still blocked by fallen trees, MEMA advises residents to submit insurance claims and report damage through their online tool.
