City truck stolen in Nettleton
SUMMARY: Nettleton police are seeking help to locate a stolen 2007 GMC Sierra van that was taken from the city's public works department. The vehicle was stolen between 3:45 and 4:00 in the morning when someone climbed the fence and drove the truck through it. Mayor Philip Balch is urging anyone with information to contact Nettleton police. The public is asked to be on the lookout for the stolen van and report any sightings to the authorities.

Interview: First responders awards ceremony to be held on May 16 in Amory

Multiple injured in ATV wrecks in Lowndes County
SUMMARY: Over the weekend, two ATV accidents occurred resulting in multiple injuries. The first accident involved a mother and her three children being ejected from a Canam side by side vehicle that overturned on Wri Road in Calonia. One child, a six-year-old, remains hospitalized. The second accident involved a 24-year-old who was injured after their vehicle overturned on Canfield Road in Columbus. All individuals involved in the accidents were taken to the hospital for treatment. The Sheriff Eddie Hawkins reported both incidents and emphasized the importance of ATV safety to prevent such accidents in the future.

Pearl officials provide storm update
SUMMARY: The mayor of Pearl, Mississippi, thanked first responders for their efforts clearing debris after a storm that downed 73 trees and 26 power lines. Sadly, one woman died when a tree fell on her, and another man was injured. The city is focused on clearing neighborhoods first before reopening parks. The Director of Rankin County Emergency Operations reported 44 homes and several buildings were damaged. Police and fire chiefs praised their teams for their hard work during the storm. Efforts are underway to clean up the debris, with residents urged to report any damage and remain patient. The importance of prevention and having homeowner's insurance was emphasized.
One person was killed as a result of Thursday's storms in Pearl.
