City of Laurel uses $2M in ARPA funds to better 3rd Ave. roadway & utilities
SUMMARY: The City of Laurel is making plans to use over two million dollars in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to repair a utility and roadway project for Third Avenue. After the repairs, the street will be overlayed with asphalt, starting at Tenth Street and moving up to Third Avenue. Mayor Magee says the project will start at the historic brick street and that the neighbors have compromised on the repairs to get a new street. The City Council recently approved the use of ARPA funds for the project. Tune in tonight at 10 to hear his advice on how to avoid falling into that category.
