Author comes out with book on Mississippi high school football fields

SUMMARY: Nash Nunery has written a book called Magnolia Grid Iron Cathedrals about the importance of high school football fields in small-town Mississippi. The book features 47 of the 's most unique and storied fields. Nunery loves all the fields and finds it difficult to pick a favorite, but he particularly likes Valley's Bobby Clark Field and Tommy Morton Field in Pontotoc. The book has already sold 1,200 copies and is on its second printing. It can be found at Gumtree in and at Square Books in Oxford. High school football fields are special places where people gather to watch their favorite teams in action.

Medical center honors its volunteers Thursday

The hospital acknowledged that they hadn't been able to honor their volunteers since 2019, and expressed gratitude for their dedication. 'Stamp Out Hunger Day' set for May 11

National Day of Prayer observed by Pine Belt faithful
