Arctic Cold to Follow Heavy Snow, Strong Winds In Midwest
SUMMARY: The Midwest is experiencing its second snowstorm this week, with wind gusts of over 40 mph on the lakefront of Milwaukee. The snow has been moderate to heavy, but it is relatively mild right now at 35°F in the city. However, the suburbs are staying below freezing, and several inches of snow are expected in Milwaukee and six to eight inches in the suburbs. The snow will taper off late tonight, followed by arctic cold temperatures next week with morning temperatures below zero and highs in the teens. This cold air mass will affect the eastern part of the country, finally bringing winter to Milwaukee, Chicago, and Des Moines.
The Weather Channel Meteorologist Mike Seidel reports from the Milwaukee lakefront amidst the second snow storm this week in parts of the midwest.
